Ask the question what's innovative about Ohio Valley Electrical Services safety and the answer is everything.  We are the only electrical contractor in the Cincinnati area to complete the three stages of the OSHA VPP Challenge and pass with flying colors.  We are also the first and only electrical contractor to achieve the OSHA Voluntary Protection Program Star status in the Cincinnati Region.  Ohio Valley Electrical Services was recertified again in 2013.

Ohio Valley Electrical Services values its employees as our greatest asset.  Safety is a requirement, not an option.  Therefore, management is committed to providing a safe and healthy workplace for our employees.  Safety and Health are paramount to our corporate vision and mission.  Management hereby states we will exceed the industry standards and maintain our prestigious status as a OSHA VPP Star Company.

It is policy of Ohio Valley Electrical to enforce ALL safety rules, methods and safe work practices and to identify and take action on safety violations. No job is more urgent than the necessity to perform it safely.  Adherence to the safety rules is a condition of continued employment at Ohio Valley Electrical Services, LLC.

Recognizing this important responsibility, management has committed the necessary time, workforce and financial resources to carry out these objectives.  The cooperation of all supervisors, managers, and employee team members is both expected and sincerely appreciated.  Anything less is unacceptable.  Each supervisor is responsible for meeting the safety and health needs of the company and maintain an affective accident prevention effort within their area of responsibility.  Each supervisor leads by example and shows the importance of safety and health in their daily functions and activities.  To exceed the industry standards all supervisors including office managers are required to maintain an OSHA 30 hour certificate and all field employees are required to maintain an OSHA 10 hour certificate.

To insure our culture of safety starts on day one of employment all new hires  complete an 8 hour orientation at our corporate headquarters covering all safety policies and procedures.  The job site supervisor then leads the employee on a site safety tour prior to starting their first day in the field.  To excel in safety and have an effective safety program requires significant effort and commitment from each employee of Ohio Valley Electrical Services.
